"These kids have an amazing amount of talent. I would think this was great whether they were 10 or 90."

"The playing is wonderful, and the piece is realized in a marvelous way. It is a further delight to see and hear the confidence and precision with which each guitarist plays. Real music flows from what could easily be a complete mess in lesser hands. Bravo (Brava)!"

"WOW that was Great! This video is now one of my favorites!!"

“A great example of classical music played straight but accessible enough to garner my fancy was … the program of the Bella Corda Ensemble.

The youth ensemble of high school students from Austin, Bella Corda, were amazing.

When they first came out I thought I'd be treated to renditions of Mary Had A Little Lamb and Three Blind Mice. It was a free daytime concert and my expectations weren't high.

But they blew me away.

With respect, I say they're program entertained me more than some of the more renowned classical performers.

One song in particular, Save the Last Dance, made me melt. It's a western song, inspired by a story of a dying cowboy scribbling a note in the freezing wilderness to his wife reading "Save the last dance for me." The music itself depicts the story perfectly, without the need for lyrics. The young musicians play with an emotional sensibility way beyond their years.

It's want to see more acts like these. … refreshing acts like 14-year-olds playing love ballads.”
